The mission of our office is to ensure that justice is done by professionally, ethically and vigorously prosecuting criminal offenses. We are committed to advocating for victims' rights and promoting public safety through cooperation and partnership with law enforcement and our community members.
Under the leadership of District Attorney Carol Chambers, the office has three priorities: prosecuting criminals to the fullest extent possible, protecting the rights and interests of crime victims and preventing crime before it happens.
Colorado has 22 judicial districts, some made up of a single county, like Denver, and others, like the 18th, made up of multiple counties. Each judicial district has an elected district attorney who is the chief law enforcement officer for that district.
