The District Attorney's Office is committed to providing public information to the community. It is our duty to keep the community informed for the purposes of public safety and concern. No information regarding the facts of a particular case will be granted during the process of an active and ongoing investigation. If you are requesting information about a case, please fill out a Civil Request form - found on the News and Public Information page.  All defendants are presumed innocent in any criminal matter unless or until proven guilty.

 

Casimir Spencer is the Public Information Officer for the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office with responsibility for public relations and media communications. Ms. Spencer brings eight years of public relations and media communication experience to the DA's office and has worked as the DA's Rural Domestic Violence Outreach Specialist. Before joining the DA's office, she worked as Director of Public Relations and Media for non-profit, STAR Inc. Prior to that Ms. Spencer worked as Director of In-Game Events/Promotions for the NBA Summer Pro League of Los Angeles and as Public Relations Liaison for Major League Soccer team; the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Ms. Spencer holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of Denver and is an active member of The Emergency Services Public Information Officers of Colorado - ESPIOC, The South Metro Chamber of Commerce - Diversity Committee, The Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, The Public Relations Society of America - PRSA and The Denver Urban League.
