You Are Not Alone

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Most cases of fraud or financial exploitation involve a victim who is isolated or who makes decisions without benefit of other opinions. The CASE Partnership recommends that everyone create a small (3-4) circle of trusted individuals with whom you can consult before you sign any legal documents, purchase any kind of insurance or investment program, or for any major financial or legal decisions. Your “advisory team” could be composed of a pastor, your accountant and/or lawyer, a family member, a long-time friend or neighbor, or any one that you trust implicitly. Remember, one advisor is not enough – 3 or 4 are better. This reduces the risk that one person might take advantage of you. And the staff of the District Attorney’s Office through the CASE Partnership is always ready to answer your questions or assist you, so include us as a member of your advisory team.
