Bad Check Restitution Program
The District Attorney's Office launched the Bad Check Restitution Program in early 2000 to assist merchants with losses from bad checks. Under this program first time offenders are given the opportunity to avoid criminal prosecution by attending a mandatory intervention class, in addition to paying restitution. All of this is accomplished without any cost to taxpayers.
Cutting your losses is as easy as 1-2-3. For information on the program and its benefits go to www.checkprogram.com/18thjudicialco
